During our partnership, the company was experiencing explosive growth (20 million organic visits per month), launching new features continuously, expanding marketing efforts, and scaling acquisition across multiple channels simultaneously.

How do you build a creative and paid media engine that can keep up with a company moving faster than almost anyone else?
Lovable approached Paintgun because we could:

People don't want to see ads. They go on social media to relax, laugh, or learn something. The way brands win on paid social is by creating ads that don't feel like ads. Screenshots are essentially undercover. Aesthetically, they look like the kind of content people already consume every day, like meme pages, opinions, and social posts. Because of that, people actually read the information instead of instantly filtering it out as advertising.
What makes this ad particularly powerful for Lovable is its massive organic awareness. Most people don't need to be convinced that Lovable exists. They just need a reason to sign up. And the fastest way to give them that reason is to show what other people have achieved with it.
People's connection to Lovable isn't emotional in the same way it is with brands like Duolingo or Ryanair. The connection is aspirational. People believe Lovable can help them succeed in their careers, build startups, make money, or create something meaningful. The question then becomes: what's the fastest way to get people to believe they can do it too?
Videos work because they can explain and demonstrate how easy it is, which lowers the barrier to trying it. But screenshots are often even faster. A useful way to think about content is through the lens of value per second of attention. The less time content takes to consume, the lower the risk of disappointing the audience. A screenshot can communicate a success story, social proof, and a possible outcome in just a few seconds.
That's why these screenshots work. They're not Lovable talking about Lovable. They're other people showing what they've achieved with Lovable. In less than 10 seconds, someone can see the outcome, see that real people are getting results, and start believing they can achieve the same thing themselves. Ultimately, people just need a reason to sign up, and the fastest way to provide that reason is to show proof that others have already succeeded. The fastest way to get people to believe they can do it is to show people like them already doing it.
When we started, we created long form content that was looking UGC while blending in the app’s features and what it was about.
